There He Goes Again!

David Berman is once again caught with a flagrant lie posted about John Briggs on his April 10 blog. Berman said:

“At the final candidate forum/debate on April 6, Briggs stated unequivocally that he would demand the resignations of all SCA committee members if he is elected and is in a controlling position on the Board. He also indicated that he would use this as an opportunity to “reevaluate” the committee members.”

But, in his opening statement to the SCA Forum on April 6, 2008, John Briggs actually said: I will request that all board officers and committee chairs submit their resignations so we could determine if we want to retain them or replace them.

John Briggs followed up in his closing statement at that Forum with: I think that all of the officers, and all of the chairmen, should submit their resignations so we could accept them or reject them, depending on how we view that chairman of that committee and/or that officer–including president, treasurer and secretary.”

Did John Briggs mention “committee MEMBERS” in either statement.  He DID NOT!   Is this an important failure by Berman?  Analysis

Faced with unequivocal evidence in our postings of forum recordings of John Briggs’ statements, David Berman has been forced to modify his blog to conform to Anthem Voice’s facts. However, he could not bear to admit his failings. As usual, he blamed others for his mistakes.

This case reminds us of his previous lame excuses for why he was a self-acknowledged forger of judge’s documents in Boston where he was suspended from practicing law. He claimed he was so depressed he could not stop himself from committing what is normally a felony offense. But, we do not understand how depression can be used to excuse not having core values and personal ethics and honor?

We are also reminded of his excuses for doing nothing conclusive to stop the hundreds of thousands of dollars losses on the Trumpets Lease from 2002 to 2007. Although he was personally involved in the restaurant agreement and operations throughout the entire lease period, he claimed he could not convince the other board members and association attorney, to enforce the lease. So, he just gave up and quit the board? He was clearly a key part of the board’s wrong-doing on the failed lease enforcement, but he never accepted any responsibility for that fiasco.

And, we have to remember that these lame excuses came from a former lawyer. Are we glad we did not have to depend on him to protect us from a wrongful prosecution? In our observations, David Berman tends to think only of himself, blames others for his failings, and goes into a rage if anyone dares to question or criticize him. A truly sad case of missed potential.
