When Nobody Is Looking…
The attached article is quoted from another web site named: American Homeowners Resource Association (AHRC).
We monitor it and many other web sites and blogs dedicated to exposing problems with Dictatorial Boards and attorneys aligned with developers and other anti-homeowner centers of influence.
This one is from Jan Jackson, a homeowner advocate in Colorado, but it may have some advice worthy of attention in Southern Nevada. when_nobody_is_looking.pdf
And, if you found this Jan Jackson article interesting, you might find another article by her, “THE PSYCHOPATH NEXT DOOR” to also be useful in understanding the behavior of some our local residents.
And, if you get that far, one comment on that article by a Pennsylvania HOA resident, Robert Metcalf, concerning “The HOA Personality” adds additional insight into some core issues about HOA living. hoa_personality.pdf

Ah yes, things here at STEPFORD SCA are really very different from what goes on in those other HOA’s.
We have have a peaceful and honorable living and operating environment, where everyone is respectful and constantly looking to help fellow residents, including all members of the HOA board. We even have former board members with absolutely impeccable credentials to show us “the way” and, still others to “make deals” to protect us and even improve on the votes we’ve given.
It’s a pity that when their last breath has been taken….those who would deny the respect and rights of others now, will likely face the ultimate denial.
The least we can do now is to purchase a granite monument, to be located at the Former… future…. site of Rec Center #3……engraved with the words….”it was a good idea while it lasted” 2004-2008.
