Time For SCA Tea Parties?
October 29, 2009 by bobfrank.
As a result of our postings and personal conversations, we get feedback from many, many residents who hate what the “old guard” has done to this community. In particular, many Asian residents have been talking about how they were deceived in the last board election. But, they are usually afraid to speak up because they have seen how vicious and hateful the so-called unity party people are when anyone dares to disagree with them.
It reminds us that the “fundamental revolution” that is now changing America at the national level has already taken over at Sun City Anthem. We already have a Marxist style of board government in Sun City Anthem, and it will not get better until we throw them out and stop tolerating the people who pander to the directors for their corrupt behavior.
Among our biggest problems in Sun City Anthem (and in most other homeowner associations) are the board’s power to block free communications with all members, and the dictatorial denial of fundamental American rights to some members. As Thomas Jefferson said in 1823:
“The only security of all is in a free press. The force of
public opinion cannot be resisted when permitted freely to be
expressed. …the agitation it produces must be submitted to.
It is necessary, to keep the waters pure.”
As long as the community allows the unethical Bermans and their cabal to totally control official communications and pump out their propaganda that serves their self-interests, we will experience constantly expanding levels of dissent and anger. This backlash will be forced to increasingly expose our problems and appeal for justice through the public media and law enforcement channels.
It will be increasingly impossible to keep a lid on the board corruption. This situation is a growing sore that started with Favil West’s misconduct. It can only be healed through much more community awareness of the truth, and by subsequent rejection of board members by the members. That process will significantly improve our relative property values as prospective buyers can have high confidence in our board ethics and financial management.
In addition, the rapidly changing national mood and expanding awareness of corruption by “politicians” at all levels could be the undoing of the so-called unity party this year.
Some people are beginning to say it is time for “SCA Tea Parties” to deal with our own problems.

Accept Nothing Less Than The Truth
October 18, 2009 by bobfrank.
David Berman has wasted our time by once again going crazy calling me all kinds of names on his blog. Readers should note he refuses to provide facts on the serious issues, and sinks into his usual personal attacks to try and divert the topic away from his misconduct.
Meanwhile, I would welcome a public debate on the facts of the many issues. But, before such a board-sponsored debate could be arranged, the following questions are the sort that must be factually answered beforehand. Otherwise, there can not be a serious debate.
1. Why did the 2005-2006 board fail to collect the $1.375 million due (tax-free) to our reserves on May ‘05 from DW/Pulte for the Co-Generation agreement? Why did our financial records, audit reports and income tax filings never include official recognition of that major contractual obligation?
2. Why did the 2005-2006-2007 boards fail to collect over $2 million due in 2005 by DW/Pulte for association and neighborhood reserves? Since such a multi-million-dollar failure to collect has to compensated with increased dues/assessments, could such an action by certain directors be considered a willful “theft” from unit owners? What consideration did the board receive from Pulte, if any, to compensate for allowing the developer to escape such a huge payment?
3. Why did the 2006, 2007 and 2008 Boards refuse to survey the members before spending over $1 million of the Co-Gen funds for gold-plated/unnecessary greening of Rec. Ctr. 3? And, why did those boards unilaterally and secretly incur the obligation for additional millions of future operating costs and reserve funds to maintain/replace the unjustified “Silver-LEED” greening components?
4. Why did the 2005-2006 board fail to effectively administer the trumpets lease and use its power under NV law to collect the monthly rent and catering revenue shares from the trumpets lessee? Who, besides Favil West, Bob Berman, David Weil and David Berman, should be accountable for the loss of over $1 Million of homeowner assessments from the gross negligence on that lease mismanagement matter?
5. Why did the 2005-2006 board fail to direct DW/Pulte to begin construction of the 3rd Rec Ctr. in 2006? How many millions did the developer save from delaying construction over 2 years, and what compensation did the 2006-2007 boards receive for such consideration?
6. Why have members been secretly, willfully and illegally over-charged millions of dollars of surplus assessments from 2002 to 2008? Why have almost $5 million of “surplus” dues/assessments been accumulated since 2005, but not returned or credited to members, as required by federal and state laws?
So, for those SCA members who share our concern over such board secrecy and apparent fraud, please help us to keep the pressure on the discovery of the facts on these and related matters. We have been systematically deceived by Favil West, David Berman, Mike Dixon, Roz Berman and their many collaborators. Does it not remind you in many ways of the Madoff scam?
Shame on SCA members who fail to demand to know the truth. Even if the lost millions are not not important to your pocketbook, it is not fair to our neighbors to allow such secrecy and corruption. These matters will not go away until the facts are uncovered and corrective action has been initiated.
